Erik Werner has been working in the volunteer student travel field for the past 25 years. As a former Peace Corps Volunteer, High School Spanish teacher, Service-Travel Company Owner, and father of three children, he is a passionate believer in the profound educational outcomes these programs provide. “I thoroughly enjoy the process of collaborating with teachers, parents, and students to make these experiences a reality and to provide young adults with the opportunity to expand their global horizons and feel empowered to make a difference.” When Erik is not planning trips abroad he can be found skiing, biking, and spending time with his family in Boulder, Colorado. Courtney Skalley always knew she wanted to keep supporting Global Brigades to support sustainable development work after volunteering on four brigades throughout college. Once she graduated from TCU in 2019 with a degree in biology, she decided to take a leap and move from her home in Washington state to Panama City, working with the newest sector of Global Brigades: Squads Abroad. Although Courtney gave up snow skiing in her transition to Panama, she now loves exploring all aspects of Panama, from the indigenous communities in the Darien region to funky rooftop restaurants in Casco Viejo. Courtney can be reached anytime at email@example.com.
