Squads Abroad provides affordable opportunities for your club to volunteer abroad and make a meaningful impact in under-resourced schools around the world. Key Club members will develop cross-cultural competence and character while gaining hands-on international experience implementing projects that improve health and education outcomes for in-need communities.
Guided by our local staff on the ground, each trip also includes fun and engaging cultural activities that provide a deeper cultural context and new perspectives. Our home-base model provides safe and private accommodations for key clubbers to enjoy healthy authentic meals, relax after a meaningful day of service, and reflect with your club on all the amazing experiences you’ve shared.
Squads Abroad is an unmatched leadership opportunity for your Key Club to tangibly make a difference in this world!
3 easy steps to organizing your Key Club Squad:
1. Decide on the trip dates, destination, and length of program you are interested in promoting. Contact our Squads Abroad Director, Erik Werner, in advance to confirm availability before promoting the trip.
2. Receive promotional materials to start promoting the trip including a customized trip proposal, posters, customized website page for your group , and a PPT presentation and more information and handouts to share with students and parents.
3. Announce the trip, plan an interest meeting, and start enrolling! We recommend you set an application and deposit due date anywhere from 2-6 weeks following the trip announcement to drive enrollment. Squads Abroad staff are always available to join your group meetings via conference call.
