Recently, a group of soccer girls from Boulder, Colorado returned from their trip to Panama after making an impact in the community of La Candelaria. They embarked on a Global Education Squad to improve the infrastructure in a local schools.
A school teacher from La Calendaria told us about the impact that this group of girls made on them and the school:
“I feel very happy and grateful for all the help [that the] Squads group has given us in our school decorating and renovating our classroom leaving it so cute and interactive for our children and for their donation of books.” -Candelaria School Teacher
The coordinator of the Boulder Soccer Girls explained her thoughts about working with this group by saying:
“Working as a coordinator of the Squads Boulder Soccer Girls was a privilege due to their dedication and commitment to help the Candelaria school, working in an orderly and productive way all the time and having the collaboration of the community members of Candelaria.” -Karla Hernández
We are so proud of the work and impact that the Boulder Soccer Girls made! Not only were there always enough resources to carry out the impact, but this squad was definitely a success because the community members were grateful and always willing to help, making our impact through a sustainable partnership.
